Inside the Courts is a dynamic, four-night event at the Orange County Courthouse in downtown Orlando, Florida. This free event is open to the public and provides citizens with a unique insight into the working of our judicial system. Each night consists of presentations by Ninth Circuit judges on topics such as family law, the courts of the future, the role of technology in the courtroom, and much more. Each presentation will have a short Q&A session afterward. It is a great opportunity for students and future attorneys, legal secretaries, paralegals, and criminal justice professionals to see first-hand how our local courtrooms run. This year's lineup of judges includes Chief Judge Don Myers, Judge Eric Dubois, Judge Denise Beamer, Judge Jeff Ashton, Judge Heather Rodriguez, and Judge Alan Apte. The final night of the event, April 14th, 2020, will be a panel discussion where the community can ask the judges any questions they might have about their judicial system. It is held in the Jury Assembly Room on the first floor of the courthouse, and will take place on March 24th, March 31st, April 7th, and April 14th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. If you come to 3 out of 4 sessions, you will receive a certificate of completion from the Ninth Circuit. Seating is limited. Register today so you don't miss out.
