Denning Drive Winter Park, FL Cost: Free - Join us for refreshments and conversation Acclaimed nature photographer Jack Rogers will lead participants on A Walk Through The Wetlands when he returns to Mead Garden’s Life Explorers Series May 15. Rogers is a widely-published nature photographer who has spent decades capturing birds and wildlife in their natural habitats through his camera lens. This program will depict a photographic journal of a typical day spent taking pictures of birds and nature in a nearby Central Florida setting. He will share his insight into selecting a setting and how he prepares for the shoot that day. Rogers will take participants out in the field with him and show what he found out in the wild that day and how he went about capturing his subjects on film. His presentation will truly be a “bird’s eye” look at his process from start to finish. Everyone, even I phone camera bugs, will come away with some helpful hints on how to photograph nature! Rogers leads workshop and seminars in Florida and teaches nature photography at Valencia College. He is a lifetime supporter of Florida’s conservation organizations and his iconic images may be seen on their websites and support materials across the state. The Life Explorers Speakers Series is held in the Azalea Lodge of Mead Botanical Garden from 10-11:30 a.m. The program is free of charge with light refreshments and coffee served.
